The San Francisco 49ers look to maintain their Best start as they host the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football, Only live on Sky Sports Action and Main Event.
Here is what to expect…
Have started. They conquered the Pittsburgh Steelers last time out despite giving up five turnovers and are one of just two teams (and the New England Patriots) to have a top-five offence and top-five defence in terms of lawn per game.
There were concerns over the Browns after they dropped two of their first three games, such as a home blowout against the Tennessee Titans. They bounced back with an impressive 40-25 success over AFC North rivals Baltimore Ravens to proceed top of this division for the first time since 2014.
The stats may not stand out (five touchdowns to four interceptions and a middle-of-the-pack quarterback rating), however, 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has performed well enough. He knows how to win. He is 11-2 in his 13 starts (nine to the 49ers and 2 for the New England Patriots) and will improve after a bye week.
High-end George Kittle was the 49ers most productive weapon this year. He leads the team in receptions (17) and receiving yards (165), but has not scored a touchdown yet.
The 49ers have five draft selections such as 2019 overall choice Nick Bosa, in their own defensive line rotation. The team is led by the newcomer with 17 pressures and appears to be completely fit after fighting a foot injury to start the season.
So too was QB Baker Mayfield as the Browns were contested in the first few weeks of the season. Because he threw for 342 yards and a touchdown but the second-year newcomer produced the merchandise. Can he deliver again?
Wide receiver Odell Beckham appeared frustrated time out as he had been held to two catches for 20 yards. Browns head trainer Freddie Kitchens suggested that he has been pumped off track and also was asked after the game about Beckhams creation.
Here is what I believe is challenging: for Odell to not be able to conduct a path without getting caught. I think thats exactly what frustrates him. Im not frightened of a corner being bodily with Odell. Thats not what I am fearful of. I dont want people grabbing him down the area, though.
With fellow wide receiver Jarvis Landry having spent the majority of the week at the NFL Concussion Protocol, there may be much more stress on Beckham to appear large, or the Browns will look to running back Nick Chubb, who has started the season with 398 yards and four touchdowns from four matches.
